Title: Rip MNG file from Viper Paradice
Post by: Eternity6 on February 09, 2007, 05:42:15 am
I am trying a way in order to open present documents MNG in the game: Viper Paradice. I have read on Internet that exist programs in order to open these documents, but also using I receive them always error message. The files are in the folder it/images/common/chara and would have to be the sprite ones of the personages. I would want to be able to open them in order to realize charset to use in the program Rpg Maker XP in order to create amatorial games. Someone of you knows like opening these files?

or can someone convert this file in GIF or PNG ?

This is an esample of what i Want to do with this Image.

Find me data on the MNG file format and I'll see if I can't write a converter.

In the meantime, you could make the cardinal direction walking graphics just by taking screenshots of Paradice and taking out the background.  Or if you're really slick, edit the background PNG maps to a single color and then take snapshots from the game.

Ok you can download all MNG file of Viper Paradice from here http://rpgworld.altervista.org/game/libera/PlayerChars.rar (http://rpgworld.altervista.org/game/libera/PlayerChars.rar) if you have difficult to download this (paste this link on browser not click direct) go here http://rpgworld.altervista.org/game/explorer.php and find the file PlayerChars.rar is the last ;)

make ripping by screenshot of the game it demands much time (than I unfortunately do not have). But the idea to modify the background of the game with the black color is brilliant! I believed that modifying the graphics the game did not work. I try immediately! Thanks for the idea;)

advmng -x file.mng

Are you going to use them in an RPG game? If so, try RPG Maker, it´s cool!
I´d love to see what your little experiment turns out.
