anime style games?

Anyone else like games with anime-style characters in them?

Myself i just got Valis 3 for Genesis this weeked.Of course,i also love the heck out of Phantasy Star 1-4 as well. When i first saw Phantasy Star 2(My first into to the world of PStar),i was captivated by how the characters appeared in game.Later,i would find out this was 'anime-style'.I also have..

Phantasy Star Collection (GBA...has PStar1-3)
Phantasy Star 4 (Genesis)
Syd of Valis (AKA Valis 2) (Genesis)
Valis 3 (Genesis)

Others would be some of the Castlevania games,Megaman in general,as well as the many anime games i have.I also liked the way the characters looked in Dungeons and Dragons Collection for the import Saturn... a local anime store had the first arcade game there, and after that i ended up getting the import Saturn collection off Ebay,as well as a Japanese Saturn deck.I'm amazed at the art that can be found in many video games.

Any of the Nippon Ichi or Atlus games on the PS2 fill that role nicely:

Disgaea and Disgaea 2
La Pucelle
Phantom Brave
Atelier Iris
Makai Kingdom
(there's more I'm sure, but it's 3:45 AM and I'm still awake...)

I think however it's the amount of character and backstory put into these "anime-style characters" that truly endears them to me.

lunar: silver star stories and lunar: eternal blue

Yes, as much as it pains me to have forgotten those... once again, 3:45AM.  I'm not as young as I used to be...

I'm hoping  that you're talking about the Punchmania version, or the newer one by Sammy.
