Dragon Quest VIII
« on: December 29, 2005, 02:48:29 pm »
(This is a fighting game forum, do rpgs belong in here? o_o )

So I know atleast 3 of you are playing this. I make 4. That requires the need for a thread on here I think.
And if anyone posts any spoilers, I will not be posting any Jessica hentaiz. (I only have 2 pics, but still ^_^ )

I'm about 30 hours in, what about you guys?

Ok, I've showered, I've socialised. I'm gonna go back to my debautchery now.

We get so little traffic I'll let anything go at this point, apart from blatant spam. I'll talk to Hyperguy about a better name for the forum.

For Dragon Quest 8, I just started. I've not even finished the first dungeon yet. I think my characters are too weak, and the stores have better stuff, so I'll probably level outside town to get the better equipment. Posting Jessica hentai will get you respect.

Bravery is better than a faint heart for a man seeking to put his nose out of doors. My fate and the number of my days has already been decided.

Yeah, the first few levels can be really brutal. The game din't really grab my interest till a bit after I got Jessica, and I almost quit playing flat out after I got her cuz she can be killed in about a single it. I fed her all the seeds I had collected tho and then she was fine.

Learn from Bluelyth's past mistakes:

1) Don't spread skill points over different weapons. So far it doesn't seem like they can all be maxed out. I'm still getting the "I should start over" feeling cuz I messed up on Yangus.

Ummm, Jessica... I deffently need to find more! ^_^

That first one I belive is an actual outfit she has in the game. And I have a feeling its one of the items gotten from turning in mini-medals. Lastnight I made her a Bunny girl outfit through alchemy. Depending on how you look at it. Its quite a bit weaker than the current armor she can wear, but its Jessica in a friggin bunny outfit. Meh, she can wear it when I'm farming cash. Added motivation and such. ^_~

I'll post more pics as I find them. Time to dig through the japanesse realm.

Haven't played it, but considering the massive fleshy mounds on Jessica, I might have to.

Also, my 12 year old brother just saw Jess-Tit, lol.

Jessica has it all: attitude, a sexy brit accent, "bouncyness", multiple revealing outfits (like a bikini and bunnygirl outfit), and shes got really HUGE....spells.

Putting Jess aside tho, I'm really impressed with this game. Its alot better than I thought it was gonna be. Storywise, its not mind blowing, but some of the interactions between the characters really puts it up there, especially between Yangus and King Trode. The comedy alone is worth picking up this game. Its been a really long time sense I've had so much fun playing an rpg. The combat system is also rather well designed without being too complex. So refreashing to watch the battles play out as opposed to just flipping through a bunch of menus on an active time system.

And about your brother... he coulda done a hell of alot worse. ^_~

I've been borrowing my friend's copy as much as possible. I have somewhere in the neighborhood of 35-40 hours on it. I think I'm fairly far in, probably at least two-thirds or so. I heard there's a shitload of sidequest stuff to do, so I dunno how long it'll take me to finish the game. It's really enjoyable. Very old-school, which I dig in this era of action-RPGs and weird shit.

I can't say I'm as batshit for Jessica as I am for Red. I wish she was playable. I mean, Yangus is cool and all (Cor Blimey! > You), but Red is awesomely hot and deserves to be a party member.

I think the game runs about 80+ hours if you do all the sidequests and go exploring for all the chests. If you play around at the casino's it will go even longer. I'm about 65 hours in, and still have quite a bit to do (tho I did blow 2 hours trying to figure out where I needed to go next, but found some stuff that I wouldn't have otherwise.) I do spend alot of time exploring every nook and cranny tho, so it might go faster for some people.

For shits and giggles, if you haven't done this yet, go into your inventory and try to use a cowpat as an item.

Ok, the real reason I'm posting. I found some more Jessica pics and a doujinshi. I tossed in some pics of the minor characters also (theres a couple of Red in there too). Enjoy!

The download worked, but after you respect or taunt someone, there's a time where you can't do it again right away to that person.

Ahh cool, and thank you! ^_^   Just sense christmas, Jess has developed a fan following riveling that of Tifa's back when FFVII was released, so i'm sure the net will be overflowing with Jessica hentai soon enough. In the meantime I'll keep digging around.

EDIT:

Game complete at 92 hours, 38 minutes, but now I have a special save and get to go through an alternate dungeon. Whoohoo!

I've been playing this game for 14+ hours a day for 7 days, pausing only to avoid soiling myself (and sometimes I came close to going with the alternative). I'm very hungry, and I'm maddly in love with jessica. I play this game in my sleep and I'm still looking forward to starting over again. I need therapy after this... thanks...

I just got it today after having Circuit City price match Target's ad from the Sunday paper.  Only cost $33.87 plus tax.  Too bad it'll be another $175 for the system and a memory card! ;_;

That land already had a name, and it is SNES.

One of the big reasons I was persuded against PS/PS2 was the poor gameworthiness of FF7 and FF8, for which I got the PC versions.  FF9 and Tactics caught my eye, and I heard Xenogears was pretty good, but I was still too skeptical (and too frugal) back then.   I hadn't seen any PS2 RPG catch my eye until DQ8, so much so I went back and replayed DW2, as it was the only one of the original four I never did complete.

Its never been an anti-Sony approach, I was just never interested in PS2 stuff, especially at $250 to get off the ground.  That and My GC has given me enough exclusive games to satisfy my needs.  Until recently however, as Ninendos putting more resources into the DS and the GC's selection has been rather limited the last few months, and will continue to be so until LoZ:TP comes out in May.  Thus the need for something new to hold my attention for a few months.
